This course provides online learners with the knowledge and insight to build a strong foundation in order to support families with multiples. Learners will receive the tangible tools, techniques, and systems to care for multiple babies, while confidently supporting families with sleep, comfort, and feeding. This course will position you as an expert and enable you to make caring for multiples, your specialty!
Learning Objective:
Lesson 1 Objective: Welcome Home
This lesson focuses on the realities associated with the overwhelm that can come with bringing multiple babies home. Learners will be equipped with the tools and systems necessary to assist families in preparing the home for a less stressful, more efficient transition into parenting multiples.
Lesson 2 Objective: Handling Multiples
In this lesson, learners will be introduced to the nuances of handling more than one infant at a time. This lesson focuses on safe baby handling, utilizing baby gear specific to multiples, and assessing various parenting philosophies, while mindfully recognizing multiples as individuals.
Lesson 3 Objective: Feeding and Sleep
This lesson provides learners with a clear understanding of the challenges that often accompany feeding multiples, as well as the specific guidelines for safe infant sleep. Learners will be provided the tools and resources for assisting clients in overcoming these challenges and providing support to families during this time.
Lesson 4 Objective: Making Multiples your Specialty
This lesson focuses on how to utilize your new skills as a doula who specializes in multiples to grow your doula business.
